Beneath the Snow
Oh, let me leave
everyday life
and just dream
of my garden
beneath the snow.
The bright
flowers are waiting
in vibrant hues
inspirational.
All the different shapes
and textures . . .
and the birds will return
and butterflies too,
and silky spider at my door.
Reds and purples
tulips and pansies,
phlox and dusty miller
all woven together
in waves of color.
Verbena will be trailing
of course, wild as nature.
There will be red primrose
and blue daisies
and yellow marigold.
Oh, just winter dreaming
of my garden to be.
