Beneath the Skin

I want to show you how I feel (you always look on the outside) A fire burns within me (what's going on in the inside) Life in the shadows seems so real Darkens the life which I should feel Can you tell me how to live Obligated to give To those who kneel Try to say a prayer that touches me A time when I drop everything and leave But it is still here to haunt me Give me a break beneath the skin Softly speaks to the hate and sin I feel my strength growing within
