Bend Down and Touch Me

called you up this morning
from halfway around the world
needed to feel your voice
hold my heart one more time
unwrapped you from your silken dream
and took you deep inside of mine

heard your easy smile
when i asked you
to fly down to the coast
i need to be with you again
a week end lost finding each other
somewhere…somehow

forgive the time and distance
i have placed between us
searching for what already held
wrapped in your arms
a fool’s search…led by a fool

i love you more
than words or promises
could ever say
somehow i will find you
bend down and touch me
with your smile
i need to be with you again

Beautiful piece, filled with longing and regret. You've amassed quite a collection here. I look forward to working my way through them. Hugs, Donna
