Beloved Boys

Gone too soon ~ my one true love, your soul upon a mourning dove
Miss your hugs when on that day then cancer took your breath away
Gone too soon ~ my sweetest son, so young, so sudden, my only one
Beloved ‘boys’ I am bereft, all alone with nothing left

Ann , my heart aches for you - there is no other loss in life as tragic as the loss of a child - I feel your pain. Good luck in the contest. Blessings, Jennifer.

Yes Jan it seems to help in a small way and of course I can escape to a calmer place by writing poetry, which at the moment is much more bearable than reality. Kindest thoughts Ann xx

It must have been very hard to write this poem, it is so filled with pain only a mother can feel. - Ann

I can feel this Ann. My heart goes out to you and as I have mentioned before, I certainly know what loss and grief is like. It is cutting and it is lasting and it comes in waves , as we do our best to be grateful for the time we shared, surviving with gratitude as best we can. You are very kind too. Well written :)

Dear Anne, So well written, through so much pain! I feel your loss Ann. I wish I could bring him back to you. God had other plans for him. Your son had to be very special to have been called home that young! Hope you get first place on this. However, Ann...in life, you are indeed a shining gem of a woman! Love you Ann, Panagiota xx
