Believe Or Not Believe
I do not knock religon, dark ages, through today
I do believe it's up to you, if you do or do not pray
If your beliefs are forced on you, your life is not your own
Fear controls your every move, resist? They don't condone
There's something deep inside you, it's been there since your birth
Telling you what's right, what's wrong, and that is your true worth
Thought police are growing strong, they work to change your kind
they have their own philosophy, they want inside your mind
It doesn't matter what you say, they twist to fit their needs
propaganda, altered text, their way to plant the seeds
Especially when you're very young, parents don't care less
too busy with their train of thought, trying to impress
Grow up bombarded, twisted truth, questions not allowed
parents see you, young adult, they know why they're not proud
One day you have a family, and then it's time to choose
do you instill good values, or watch them grow and lose
You can't ignore, no in-between, their future starts right here
it's time to look inside your heart, have courage, do not fear
I do not knock religon, dark ages, through today
somewhere deep inside your mind, you know you'll find your way.....
