Believe

Do you see the way the sun glides thru the trees
Can you feel the wind as it blows your hair into a mess
If you listen close you can hear the waves crashing on the beach
In the distance shadows give the grass a light caress

All we need is to believe in one another
Put your hand out to someone who's down
Give a kind word to a clerk behind a counter
Create a smile when you see a sad frown

A winter wind whistles through the branches of a tree
Ice and snow collect upon a cottage windowsill
Snow piles high upon a dark and silent street
Logs on a winter fire and empty cups ready to refill

All we need is to believe in one another
Put your hand out to someone who's down
Give a kind word to a clerk behind a counter
Create a smile when you see a sad frown
