Being Single

Being single sucks 
Especially when you know what you want 
Being single hurts
when everyone else is not
Now I know I sound childish 
Where's my woman power?
I know I sound like I need a man to keep me afloat 
But in my case I'd scream I really don't
I'm independent as they come
Strong as you could ever find
But yet as much as I like saying I'm fine 
I hate being the one who's waiting 
while others are having fun
   Why do I have to be the only one? 
        School sucks....
          Home's home
   But nothings better than being able to
             hug someone 
         Nothings like having them to take it all away
                       That's why being single sucks
                         That's why i'm bitter and afraid
