Being Sick Is An Inconvenience

I am chewing some tummy tablets
Because I have felt physically sick
For about forty minutes

I am glad to work in a school
Where there is a nurse
She has access to the things I needed

I asked her if she had anything
And she set me up
I am hoping to finish out the day

Because I have plans after work
And I do not want to cancel them.
Being sick is such an inconvenience!

Yes, it is. But, on the other hand, I believe sometimes we get sick (like stomach or head ache) because our body is trying to tell us it is not happy with us...that we are going at it too hard, or that we need a rest. Always listen to your body, Caren. My doctors tell me I know more about my body than they ever will, and it startles them, because most people don't! I'm on a new medicine that is marvelous, but my doctor was hesitant until I convinced her it was exactly what I needed! She's amazed

I do think we know what we need. I took today off because the children are not at school today so I did not see the point of me sitting through boring meetings about math science and reading since I teach none of them.
