Being Human
bearing the pain and hopes of others .... that's
everyone's wish I am sure each day
I bend my head and pray to give thanks
not just because I can feel emotions and convey
goodness and forgiveness along lifes way
human thoughts of pleasure and of pain
enjoying the moment of summers rain
making wishes and dreams of others come true
artistically painting a portrait of life, of you
naughtily thinking thoughts that lovers do.
that's being human
