Being Human

What does it mean to be human,
Besides a heartbeat and a pulse,
It seems a question that is proving,
That the answer is still lost...
Is it me within this vessel,
Or part of you within a frame,
Facing mirrors on the dresser,
So our view will stay the same...
Though we're creatures of compassion,
Looking deep into ourself,
We still find faith in what we fashion,
From deliverance itself...
Searching for a deeper meaning,
As our curiosity persists,
To keep us caught between the dreaming,
And what may actually exist...
Become the truth within suggestion,
Before it tries to disappear,
Then you never have to question,
What it is and why we're here...
