Being a Bold Poet
Do I need to fear the tongues of society
If, in spite of being a girl
I do hesitate not to let go of my moody swings
In the form of deep poems?
Poetry is like a healing balm to me
Poetry soothes my soul
Eases my heart
And bids me to accept,
To accept life as it is!
Poetry is my refuge
In those lines that I craft
I feel liberated
In those lines that I craft
I see my own meaning
Sometimes, I even get to understand myself!
Even if I am a girl,
I see not why I am to fear society's wagging tongues
Yes, rather, I shall indulge more in poetry's marvel!
