The eye will deceive, but the water never lies ~ always, ever down. Patiently seeking the path of least resistance ~ not to be denied. Gravity enjoined ~ a tool and not a hindrance harnessed all in time. After all, what is a stall in forward progress, but time to reflect? Babbling with laughter, overjoyed by sweet release ~ gushing free again. Unnoticed by all, wielded by the Time Keeper, playing the long game. A watercolor canyon as magnum opus on the grandest scale ~ to the Creator’s delight. ---------- for the I Know You're Dying To Write A Choka Poetry Contest sponsored by Kim Rodrigues written on 8/7/23

Thanks for the read and comments, Vickey - the choka was an interesting write for Kim's contest. Our daughter now lives in Utah and we've flown over the canyon several times visiting her now, and I'm always amazed at what water and time will do...
