The humbleness of the LORD is awesome! Imagine an earthly King being
born in a lowly stable with animals all around. Even after 40 years of knowing
my GOD, that still amazes me. What a GOD!
Behold The Lamb of God
Come and see the humble stable in Bethlehem
where the Lamb of God was just born,
Shepherds were feeding their flocks and keeping watch over their sheep
else by wolves and other ravenous animals they might be torn.
And during this one particular night, this Lamb of God
made a quiet yet grand entrance,
in the most meager of setting known to man
it had been a God breathed interference.
Yet, I heard a preacher say,
“where else would a lamb presume to be born?”
surely not in a hospital filled with an educated staff
but where the shepherds would dare to find Him and to adore.
Then it wasn’t so unusual as I used to think
the King of Kings as a baby laying in a stable,
yet King is only one of this awesome God’s names
as in the Lamb of God being His label.
Yes, I am so glad this Lamb chose me to
and to shed His blood for my sins,
for what had I done to deserve such a thing
as salvation bought by the blood of the King of Kings.
And, now, Behold the Lamb of God
who is still seated upon His throne,
and who is soon to come to earth again
and take His blood bought children back to His home.
