Behind These Shades
It might seem strange
But a few will agree
That behind these shades
Lie a world beyond free…
They enhance the light
On the darkest of streets
So I can hide the sight
Of any shadows I see…
From behind these shades
Is a world no one knows
Slightly out of phase
So reality slows…
As I pass you by
Getting deep as deep goes
Just to tease my eyes
While they soften the blow…
From behind these shades
I can view my reflection
Bouncing back and forth
For a thorough inspection…
Blocking out the haze
That can cloud my direction
Only passing the rays
That will add to perfection…
