Behind These Red Brick Walls

I remember living quietly inside these red brick walls, a soul, wandering alone through those dark, empty halls, this is the place where I used to rest my weary head, now you, another poetic heart, are dreaming here instead. I was just a poet, a soul like you, so do not be afraid, this is where I once lived, and this is where I stayed, I want to whisper my secrets to you, late after midnight, just hear my faded words, and I will remain out of sight. There was a lonesome time when I wrote poetry, too, now I am here, to be your muse and inspire you, 100 years ago, I lived on the other side, only now, I dwell just behind these red brick walls, somehow. (A sequel to my poem, "These Red Brick Walls")

Hi Kelly. This is a fine write and a great sequel. There are many situations and places that speak to us from beyond the so called reality that many live in. As writers soul searchers we can open ourselves up to far greater worlds that will speak to us in various ways. And as writers we have been given the gift to bring those worlds to others. You have that gift, my friend. A very enjoyable read.... Robert.

Yes, you may put my poem on your poetic blog, Rene. I had taken French classes when I was in school, but I can only remember a few phrases of the language... I will look at your blog soon!... This poem is a sequel to my poem titled "These Red Brick Walls". You might enjoy it, as well.

This is an enchanting encore Kelly...lovely glimpse into the progress of a poet's soul become a fine Muse sharing melancholoy and the magic of blood ink link, each an instrument of passion's need of expression. Fantastic Spiritualism Kelly, and FAV.! J.A.B.

It is interesting to think about our muses, and where our inspirations come from. Just maybe they are former poets, whispering and passing on their talents to us.... Thank you for these wonderful comments, Justin. The fav really means so much to me!

Thank you so much, Paul. I'm happy that you liked my sequel... It's been awhile since I wrote the first poem, so I went back to reread it and compare the two, just to make sure that the sequel had the same feel.
