Behind the Walls

The gaze of your eyes
Warm and loving one minute
Cold and deadly the next
Hidden behind walls built by tears
I wonder what is in your mind
Do your thoughts follow your heart?
Has anyone taken the time to find out?
Do you give them the chance?
I can see beyond your eyes
I can see into the soul you hide
You cannot hide your desire from me
The need you have to find love
The emptiness of your heart
I am willing to open my heart
To see if mine matches with yours
Maybe, if you give me the chance
The walls with fall
Your heart will fill
And you will find the love you deserve
