Beginnings

Ten years in silence.
Poetry quiet,
passion alone can
inspire the pen and
bid the soul to speak.

So many years 
devoid of all
that drives these hands
to move again

that pick up 
the pen and
say at last:

“Now I
speak my

truth.”
