Begin afresh 13-04-24

The volcano's sooty fingers
lunged out to reap
the lush fields we've bled for,
yet in return sowed the ground
with the seedlings of a tomorrow
we could've never foreseen,
as shrouded in morning mist,
dawn dew rests calmly on the leaves.
