Begging like hell for a better outcome. Begging is a sort of prayer. Please God. I found this one entertaining. Let us pray. Cheers!

When the odds are stacked against them folks will try anything. Gives them a bit of hope I suppose, what will be will be. Tom

Heya Tom, of course in a mortal world I think the odds are always stacked against us, (hope is good) but the preacher in this piece was perhaps pushing his luck, A bit of a word play going on here too, cheers David

Practicing what they preach or just plain old preaching. Who can be trusted in such an equation. Without a prayer might well create a situation of being good just because and not out of fear of punishment or for reward. How novel is that?! Capcha is 5DK :)

Very true Dilly, to seek no reward nor punishment does one actually need a prayer? probably not! I do love when people see a few extra layers into my monokus, you have a very keen eye, even the Captcha is getting involved, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome lol! Cheers David

We had a few (many) Bakker’s over here too, one wonders if this sort of thing still goes on!
