Befriending the Moon

I wish i could befriend you oh moon But i find you not in the sky at noon Even in the morning when the sparrows croon I found out that you have gone so soon Tell me where i can found you all day Tell me your secret abode i pray That whenever i think i ought to play I can always find you: a friend with whom to play. Do not say goodbye tonight You tender light is my sure delight Kiss my heart when the shadows against me fight Oh moon hold me tight with your lovely light tonight.
