Befriending Complacency
Befriending Complacency
I’ve never been so happy to get snapped
back into reality by the Lord.
I’ve been taking His blessings for granted
and befriending complacency for
far too long.
I’ve been letting my gifts pass me by,
overly entangled in the affairs of
this life.
So today I turn up the intensity
I crank it up a notch
Today, I seize the gifts that are mines.
I will not let my gifts pass me by without
seizing them and using them mightily.
You see, God had to show me that the way
I was carrying on was putting my livelihood
in jeopardy.
The way I was carrying on drained me of my
desires to be the great man of God I am
meant to be.
What God showed me had my heart kneeling
to the throne, saying, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lamb”
Everything I have can be taken away
at the snap of His fingers.
God is my source for everything good,
and I will diligently seek to fulfill the
purpose of my life with all the good
He has given me.
I will seek to give Him the
glory for it all.
