Before You

Before You

Before you came into my life
I had things quite under control
But you were kind and understanding
So I thought maybe we could grow

We enjoyed so many things together
And time just went on by
But having a person like you
Has caused me not to cry

Before you came into my life
I cried so many tears
Lamenting days and nights
Counting the lonely years

Before you came into my life
I didn’t have much joy
But now I have it and I will say
I shall not treat it as a toy

So happy Valentine’s day
And may you have many more
Thank you for all you have done
Since you opened the “Caring door”

This is just to say thank you
For relieving me of strife
And all the fun I missed
Before you came into my life
