Before We Embrace the Night
I will come for you, I will walk you home
When evening light bathes the tree trunks in gold
I will be with you, you'll not be alone
And your sweet soft palms in mine I will hold
Together, our arms entwined, will we stride
The busy streets of Unity Gardens
Just as on the aisle with you as my bride
And casting away all our life burdens
As a worshipper adores a wild god
So shall I, your countenance my delight
And till pale stars shine, love's ship let's aboard
Then glowing, you'll mirror the gloamings light
Before we embrace the night sweet honey,
On love's wings we'll fly a heaven's journey
