Before you held me like twine before the sun rose just to die I heard a battle axe cry, mine What were we, before ? To each other we were cast like two dice in a bar brawl numbered days of anger Before you gave me a name what were we, to each other ? End of the season you are the reason sleepless nights turn into nightmare what hurts the most is that you care father son fights, a separate dance why couldn't we get along, dad ? Before the world began, who were you to me, they say time heals, then why today can't we ?
