Before She Says Goodbye

She never looks at me anymore
At least not in the way she use to
Always seeming to be in thought
Always looking somewhere else
Although I know she knows I’m watching
I have no words
She’s heard them all
But somewhere deep inside
She knows I still love her
At night
When we make love
Her eyes are distant
Almost as if she were not there
It will only be a matter of time now
Before I turn around
And find that she is gone
