Beeston Castle
An archway of oaks lead you upwards
As you rise above the crowds.
The sounds of everyday life fades away.
A castle ruins silhouetted against a fading sun.
And a patchwork view of fields as far as the eye can see.
I lay near the summit breathing heavy
And looking for my home on the horizon.
The sun warming my face and the view my soul.
Only a moat to breach now and victory will be mine.
Beeston castle vanquished , once again.
