Been So Long

Those sighs under those nights came calling again
Those whispered tears I thought were too far gone
well they came back to me today
today the day I cried for what I had to say
I can't change those terrible things
those terrible things you may have thought
those tiny fears the raven sings
even though I know I fought
Been so long since you have seen me
Been so long since we met
I don't know when we stopped being 'us' and 'we'
only the deathly wind has that secret kept
I remember the tomorrows I used to dream
I recall what I wished would be
I hate to think of what you thought I seemed
even worse I hate to think why you wouldn't love me
But yesterday is over and tomorrow's chance forever dead
been so long since you made that choice
the choice of being with someone else instead
