Been Feeling Blue

I'd like to give...a quiet shout To all my friends...'been down and out Life gets better...there's no doubt I pray that you'll...get through I'd like to give...a voiceless say To all my friends...'been feeling gray Must try to start...a brand new day There's so much more...to do I'd like to ring...a cordless line Hope you've all...'been feeling fine To all our friends...yours and mine I've sent a prayer...for you I'd like to write...a simple poem By chance your ill...'been sick at home There's others...you are not alone There were others that...I knew I'd like to hum...to those with wings To those who've passed...'been given wings I've felt your pain...and it still stings I cried the day...you flew

In times of crisis, we turn to compassionate people for support. You're one of these people, Charlie. I smiled while reading your poem and was delighted with your verse about friends with "wings." They're still our friends and they are probably praying for us now. This poem is a fave for me. Been down lately and you brightened my spirits. Thank you, my friend! Hugs, Carolyn

Wow, Carolyn. What a lovely comment. On one hand I am very thrilled that I was able to make you smile and cheer up, on the other hand I am feeling sorry that you have been feeling the blues of late. Anytime you feel this way you can always reach out to me and I'll try to brighten your day with smiles. I am sure all of our friends are looking down...Smiling. Love & Hugs, Charlie

Gee, Charles! You know this poem is quite lyrical? And poets hearts do touch each other. This is very sincere and honest. I love the saying: "tough times never last, tough people do!" Prayers for sunshine in your soul. Panagiota xx
