Bedtime Thoughts

~~~ What if I, perchance never awake? My solace is in eternity to partake. To exist in a realm of God, not of men. The joy of having a new body! In exchange for this one that is shoddy. To live in His world must be so glorious. And experience the ultimate joy of being finally, with my Creator, victorious ~~~          January 15, 2020
You are too kind, Charles. I wish I shared your feelings, I do not. I think I am totally insignificant here. That is OK with me.))) Read What Color Is Your Headstone? It explains why I am here.LOL. Being significant? Not a chance. There are many significant poets here. I just write poems from the heart, not to impress anyone!! How empty that would be for me..Panagiota xx I am on the do not read list here-))))
Panagiota, Wonder at the Afterlife in this poem. Yes. I would like to imagine, just perhaps, I'm living a brand new life every time I wake. The Earth hurtles on, never to stay in one place. -Richard
I like your idea of living each day anew! That's very important! The earth was never made to last forever.-))) Nice seeing you again Richard. Panagiota xx
To never wake from a peaceful sleep would be a great way to leave this earthly plane my my friend. Preferably sometime after a joyful and very healthy 100 years of living! Great poetry given by a true poetess that oft sees deeper than the average writer.. "To live in His world must be so glorious. And experience the ultimate joy of being finally, with my Creator, victorious" A fav- a gem too.
Robert. I am truly honored by your words as many times, I think I am not worthy to be called a poet. I try to write above the mundane things of life. The mundane is so boring! Living to 100? Yes if totally healthy and free of pain. To go in our sleep- ah how divine is that? Very? Gratefully as always. Panagiota xx
This is beautiful, my friend. It may be that, passing from this world--is the first time one has truly awakened. God loves us. Blessings!
Thank you, Joe. I think we have tastes of being fully awake here. They foreshadow our final awakening. I just know the glory ahead for us...God loves us.. But getting to heaven depends on our relationship to him On earth. He gave us free will. Our eternal future is in our hands. Panagiota xx may we meet in heaven one day! Thank you for calling this 'beautiful'
I too think if we never awoke, it would be a joyous victory and a reunion!
Hi Caren! I so agree with you-))) thanks for commenting. Sleep is the closest thing to death. I ask Gid for another day. But it really is His call. Get some rest. I am off to sleep. Panagiota xx
