Bedouin

"Bedouin"

I stand here
holding time in my hands
for you yet you remain hidden
watching

black sands on closing air
bedouin messages written
in code invisible to most
it blooms you open

the envelope silently spits
words, they escape into you
you breathe what's left quietly in
consider the path between

dreams and reality
I hijack your solitary cells daily
you’re a Skinwalker like a Selkie
shedding freedom for a bad marriage

the godless god
considers you not worth
a conversation, like a stalker
he follows you silently

without speaking
swallows what’s good
from the black buzzard perch
he sets the trip wire

unknown in the dark
there he sits
hidden in his vestry
shuffling the bad poetry parishioners

he weighs your worth
smirking he
watches on
turns your music off

There are forces that are other worldly that even the brilliant can't explain...keep moving to the beat of the music

"If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench.

It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.” Charles Bukowski, Factotum

“No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee.” John Donne, No man is an island

"It is an absolute human certainty that no one can know his own beauty or perceive a sense of his own worth until it has been reflected back to him in the mirror of another loving, caring human being.”
