Because I Could Not Make Up My Mind

What is the point? Asked Mrs. Snooty. The point is I could not make up my mind when we were building, so I said put all three in. We are not talking light switches. We are talking light fixtures, and they are gorgeous. I love them. Not in the middle like most small eight by eight rooms, but marching down the middle of the ceiling in a proud line. The point is, I like it this way, and it is my house. I love color, and they are all colorful. How did I raise someone this prissy? I wonder to myself.

I really kind of am. The problem is my 7th grade art teacher who was a poopywad. He said "I pity their mother" in reference to my twin and I to the entire class. I pitied myself for being stuck with the poppywad, and unfortunately, told him. It was my last art class until I reached my mid 40's and took 6 art classes for fun.

Hahaha! Love how you ended this... and the fact that you didn't "settle" for less (for conventionality's sake), but boldly did as your heart dictated!! LOVE it! ;)

I used to hahahahaha conform a bit, and let others have their own way but I am older now, and if I am going to live with something, it has to be something I wanted, not something I was talked into by a well-meaning prissy friend or relative.

Thank you. I am smiling because my control is pretty much this - "please" control. Does it please me yet?

Love the last two lines. Can just picture the look on your face with the word 'prissy' forming on your lips. Such an evocative and underused word. You have activated its power! ~ Gershon

Aha, and yes, I do love the word. It applies to so many in my family. They do it "well" too.
