Beauty Slumbers Among Cold Grey Stone Walls
Cold grey dark stone walls
Gothic arched windows
candle lit stately halls
Spiral worn staircase
and along the whispering corridors
To the bedroom
where a beautiful angelic girl
is lost in slumber
her porcelain like face
bathed by the ambient light
of an illuminating moon
and bejewelled velvet sky
She gently rests in a blue satin dress
clutching a red rose
to her tender breasts.
Her full plump lips
and long auburn medieval
corkscrewed hair
A picture of alluring femininity
and untainted ravishing beauty
beyond compare.
The virgin lost in wistful enchanting dreams
where fireflies dance under the stars
and unicorns drink from silver ribboned streams.
The cold walls around her
continue to hold their secrets
as the burning glowing flickering embers
at the fire place cast shadows
on those stark walls
until the night goes to rest
and she rises like the summer warming sun
to the sound of joyous bird song
As another day as fresh as a first kiss
has begun.
