Beauty Only Runs Skin Deep

He gently lifted her chin
To look into her eyes
She pulled away so bashfully
Ashamed of all her flaws

See many times before
She'd wanted to give love a chance
But all the guys she picked
Never gave her a second glance

They wanted much prettier
She thought herself plain
So in her heart she'd never be good enough
Until this moment, until this very day

He lifted her head gently
So he could speak words from his heart
He said beauty only runs skin deep
It's the inside that sparks the fire

I've waited for a thousand years
For you to come into my life
I wished for you long ago
Upon a shooting star

You are my perfect match in every way
I'll tell you how I know
My heart skips beats when you're around
Your eyes speak to my soul

I searched all over Heaven and earth
Just a dwindling roaming soul
The day I met you my love
Is the day my heart found it's home
