Beauty of the night

Glistening lights in the valley and on yonder hills.
Starry night reflected on the ground but with electric bills!

Still quiet as the motorway’s to and fro moves through the night.
Silent feathers bank over the field below as the barn owl strikes.

Whispered quiet expansive view broken with geese high up flying by.
Different coloured wispy clouds disappear over the blurry uneven horizon line.

Train snakes along the line popping in and out of view.
Life carries on in the dark as life should always do.

The sheer beauty of the night opens my mind through my open light.
People out there of all ages living their lives, now settling down for the night.
