Beauty At the Bus Stop

Even a married man’s head can be turned When spotting a girl for whom he has yearned There’s no harm in looking, it’s surely not wrong I’ve been a good husband for so very long There at the bus stop, a beauty in red Is it so wrong that my thoughts turn to bed Her sultry blue eyes and her long golden hair A voice in my head says, “Just walk over there.” Perhaps if I happened to merely walk past her I have little doubt that my heart would beat faster But I sit and savour her elegant poise I know I’d enjoy all the things she enjoys I’m sat in my car and my heart feels like singing She takes out her phone but who might she be ringing And when my phone rings it’s a brief fantasy I can’t help but dream that the girl’s ringing me I answer my phone to the voice of my wife And quickly recall she’s the love of my life She said, “Would you come to collect me, my sweet?” I told her I would, “I’m parked over the street.”

You're in a romantic mood Terry, nothing wrong with a bit of window shopping as long as you don't go into the shop. Tom
