BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW

Children play without the fear
Of what tomorrow’s meals may bring.
Parents rest with hearts at ease
Knowing the future promises brighter things.

That’s the dream I once embraced
A shining tomorrow, full of grace.
Where the sun rises in a crystal sky
The moon cloaked in purest of light.

But that dream now feels unclear
Fading beyond what I can imagine.
The tomorrow I glimpsed pretty
Is but a mirror of the present, alas.

So let’s paint today in vibrant colours,
With love in every deed we choose.
Sow seeds of hope for all to reap
For tomorrow reflects the today we keep.
