Beautiful Stranger

Who was
this person?
I knew I’d
never seen her
face before

A face
embraced with
pretty’s kiss,
and polished with
grace’s allure

This one
who artfully
added her shade,
to this canvas
of many hues

I gather
she’s probably
a resplendent red,
infused with
beauteous blue

I stood
there lost within
her presence,
overcome with
what I was shown

It was
truly a fight
to retrieve my
heart, stolen by
this lovely unknown

Isn’t life
sublime? You
can find a gem,
in an everyday
common place

As was
the day, I encountered
a stranger, with
beauty surrounding
her face

Ha! You've shopped at the Lowes here in town too LOL! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. It's great to hear I was able to capture that small but special moment we've all had, when we see someone for an instant that takes the very air right out of your lungs.
