Beautiful Red Bird Creek

Fog rolling through the trees Like a gray threadbare blanket Sun rising from the marsh Like a fire just coming to life The birds begin an awkward song That soon finds its harmony As water drops give a back beat Geese honk across the sky My soul has found it salve In this haven of blissfulness Just along the golden shores Of that beautiful Red Bird Creek
