Beautiful Lies

how many times
do we say

I love you
when it's a lie

I'm fine
when you want to cry

I'll live
when inside you die

I won't give up
when you don't want to try

I'll miss you
when it's easy to say goodbye

I love you
when it's really a lie

how many times
tell me how many times

Sadly true at times. Interesting you bring this to attention.

Adam, to quote Don McLean, "something touched me deep inside" when I read this poem. Carolyn

Clever rhyming... stark opposites, highlighting the complexity of emotions either true or false. Well done my friend! Best wishes, Keith
