Beautiful Flame Tree Flowers
Gulmohar tree also called flame tree surrounds my house
From my balcony and windows I get view of tree top
Summer is flowering season for them (It is summer in India now)
Bare brown branches now have new leaves and flowers.
First a cluster of bud emerges,
green stem, green small round buds
They look so pretty, young and tender
Then flowers bloom,
Orange red clusters dancing and smiling
Waving at me, telling me be happy
Enjoy the moment
Next moment is uncertain
How true!
For any moment some bird will come and pluck them dead
These flowers are food for many birds
I see Robin, Sparrow, Bulbul, Butterflies feed from these flowers
They eat leaves, drink nectar
Even squirrels munch them.
They are food for many, life uncertain, but full of joy
Always dancing, joyous and happy, spreading cheer around!
Bright orange flowers among green leaves and brown branches
Against the backdrop of blue sky
Their beauty is enchanting
Bare curved branches with flowers at the tip look like a spoon with delicious food
I watch them whenever possible
How much joy one tree can give I wonder
Food for many, beautiful surroundings...
When the flowers fall down,
they create a beautiful orange carpet in the ground
I feel blessed to be surrounded by them
Thank you God
for bountiful bliss freely given
