Beautiful Face

Beautiful sweet face
With eyes that reflect easily
What the skies have to offer
Sometimes clear, sometimes stormy.

Her heart wounded by a break
The desolation in her family
Striking at the one who most matters
And I must be strong with empathy.

I can still feel her little frame
Sleeping in my arms so peacefully
Her soft breath on my breast, I remember
When I fed her, my little girl so pretty.

Beautiful sweet face
Storm filled eyes looking at me
Searching mine for the answer
To gain the calm she needs desperately.

Simply lovely Caroline .. brings tears to my own eyes reading the emotion held in each line of this creative write .. children are so precious and exude emotion during our daily bonding ... her heart wounded by a break.. I recall my own personal situation and the effect on my sons.. this is truly sensitive and touching my friend..luv..

An exquisite write, Caroline. An enchanting tribute to this "sweet face". When they are very young it seems more easy to fill questions with needs, but as they grow and try to find answers themselves they return to their source for security and love. Love this poem, Mikki

You are quite conscious about your child and that is more than anything else. Very touchy and moving, Caroline

They say it is children who suffer the most when parents break up, Caroline. You conveyed your love and concern for your daughter so tenderly in this poem. She is lucky to have such a caring mother. Love, Carolyn
