Beautiful Changes
Vanished so quickly
I felt a sense of loss
For my days have been empty as of late
It felt like you had died
But, there was no funeral
No closure
Anxious worries of the unknown roamed inside me
Fear consumed my thoughts
I couldn't fathom not knowing you anymore
After the shock of your absence faded
I felt a passionate freedom
That was robbed of me before
When I lived in your kingdom
With you creating an illusion of the truth
All the while bathing in deceit
Your attempts to break me
With your manipulative tirades
Never succeeded
They only made me realize
That all this time I had been loving a stranger
With no honor
You returned for a spell
But, your voice brought me no joy
Every word you uttered just left me cold
The thought of your touch repulsed me
I no longer wanted to believe the lies you told me
No longer my angelic hero
Just a foe in disguise
From that moment on you became
Only a memory in my cemetery of forgotten love
That I wanted to leave dead & buried forever
