----- A Sam Scott poem: 12th September 2023 -----
I see beneath your perfect skin The layers you create To hide your insecurity And all the things you hate I see the superficial And it matters not a jot I don't see imperfection Or all the things you're not I hear you talking to me And you nearly hypnotise I see your lips are moving but There's a twinkle in your eyes There's something I'm beholding That is not being held by you. Not the lie you've been projecting But a deep place that is true Beautiful is more Than simply pouting for our friends It's God's DNA within us It's the perfect camera lens
