Beaten To Bloom

Flushed
blisters
overwhelm
sunburnt roses.
Drops holding true love
explode with rich perfume.
Heads turned by affluent notes
feed tough petals bare and cracking.
Whispers of moisture are nourishment,
a beaten down soul is now free to bloom.
