Beaten

Blood running down your face, why the hell are you staying with him, a man that beats you...you can't be seriously telling us you ran in a door the third time this year ...really...don't tell me, I don't understand he's the father of your children ...that gives him the right to beat the life out of you? I didn't realize he's Christ the one that made you.

When did love become pain not pleasure ...you need to look at yourself in the mirror ...you look unkempt and shaken...why would you stay?... you have a beautiful daughter this is what you’re teaching her? that her husband must beat her...be-careful the message you send to your children. You’re telling your son it's okay to disrespect any woman he meets ...it's okay to beat them, then this cycle continues ...why would you want a man that beats you ... the flowers the next day... its guilt ...not love, don't get it twisted...he doesn’t love you.

Amen. Wonderful powerful poem. It sickens my heart that it takes so many women so long to come to the conclusion that you've expressed in your exquisite poem.
