Beacon

Sweetheart, you’ve turned my world upside down
I’ve ran so long, so far I don’t know right from wrong
I’ve ran ten thousand miles and I can’t find the noun
That can accurately describe this little song

But Baby, I think I've finally found the key
We can lovingly quote Brandon Boyd all we want
The truth is we’re the heroes of our own story
Our futures what we make of it, my confidant

Princess, our past is behind us, you know this truth
The waters are receding our horizon is clear
Every lie has been washed away from our youth
Born again on this emerald evanescent sphere

But beautiful, the past was not for naught
Every small adventure has been an instruction
In creating the world you rightfully want
Every lesson has left a permanent beacon

Guiding you precious, to your final ambitions
Through the black storms of uncertainty and strife
Dove, these were never arrogant aspirations
Despite all the darkness we all deserve the light

Butterfly, all I am really trying to say
Is that you are much more than a mere muse to me
You have become my world in a span of days
I want you to be happy and live out your dreams
