Beach Life

Ain't all it's cracked up to be
sand gets everywhere,
in your sleeping bag,
hair and yes down
there too.

More arrive every day
some even worse off than
you, who have nothing,
guess that puts them
into negative.

And the castles that we
make wash away
with the tide.

YEP! That is beach life.Oh don't forget the one bathroom everyone lines up for. You think with the money they charge for parking at the beach, they wlould put in more washrooms. Have a nice evening my friend.

Ah such a poignant picturesque read. I must agree with you, sand can get everywhere. Love your last verse. It captures the essence of this awesome piece. Very clever!

I've never been a beach person either even though we live in a beach surrounded country. The sand getting in to 'those places' can be quite chafing - :) . Loved your tale Dave...Maria
