Be Who You Are

I don’t need them to like me Or be someone else to make them happy I have my real friends And I won’t be sitting around wondering when our friendship ends They are only a few that I can trust and appreciate What we have is what other wished they can relate People don’t know how to satisfy themselves and turn to satisfying others If you think it’s nice to live a life where everyone backstabs one another Then you must not care where you'll end up in their lies Fail to keep them satisfied, your reputation dies They won’t stick around when you’re in trouble They’re cowards that can’t face their own struggles You don’t have to live another life for someone to talk to you Or like everything that others like just to get you through They will tell you the things you would love to hear when you’re around But talk behind your back and say the things that will bury you to the ground Be yourself and find yourself a real friendship that will last It’s always important to have someone on your side to trust Live your life with no lies and you will go far Because there is always someone out there who will love you for who you are
