Be There, Still

There was a slant of golden light-- Though the twilight turned to pink; That for its beauty gave me pause, As well the chance, to think. And to ponder as the changing hues Turned to amethyst, the hill-- Were it not for all I have to do, I would likely be there, still.

This shorty delivers a punch. It is interesting that in our society we take so little time for the quiet contemplation of God's handiwork. I think one of the ways the devil keeps us away from God is by keeping us busy.

Hey Richard, right on. That's what I was going for. Seems we take everything for granted these days. Too busy to look up at the stars? No one should ever be that busy. Thanks for the visit. Blessings, Mel
