Be the Influence

Rise up from your slumber sleep, No more will any of our children weep. We will no longer sit idly by, We will arise and do more than just try. Our children will be men and women of worth, Our children will fulfill their purpose on this earth. Mothers and fathers everywhere will unite, And together we will press on with all our might. The abuse our children will be a thing of the past, They will finally know what it means to be a child at last. Everything that we do and say will finally make sense, As from today, we will be the influence. We will not speak negative words over them, We will listen with an open mind and solve every problem. Their care and protection will be our number one priority, We will step up to the plate and live up to our responsibility. Every parent will awake with purpose and action, As we charter a new course of being their greatest champion. Then every child will know that their future goals they can achieve, As their parents embrace their dreams and help them to believe. A new found zeal will unfold once and for all, As we help our children to rise up and stand tall, Patience and prayer are tools that we will need, As we finally give our children the chance to take the lead. Today is the day that we speak up and speak out loud and clear, We will praise and encourage every child, everywhere. Let us stand tall with pride and dignity, As parents who are on a mission in every community. To take back every child and stop all the nonsense, Today we vow that as long as we have breath, we will be the influence.
